Camden Valley Inn’s main menu has something for everyone and is simply bursting with a huge variety of dining options. From salads to tasty burgers, and succulent mains including our Bavarian pork knuckle, which is sure to impress! Our menu offers a range of options from something light, main meals, kid’s menu, and freshly made in house pizzas.
At Camden Valley Inn we pride ourselves on supporting the local community by sourcing locally grown produce and connecting with providores from the Southern Highlands. Since re-opening our doors in September 2019 our Head Chef, Brett Humphries has been working on a paddock to plate menu that incorporates a variety of different local suppliers and producers.
Brett has a passion for using the land as your guide. Beginning his career at Voyages on the Great Barrier Reef, is where his passion for food began. He then continued his career and found himself working smack bang under the shadow of Ayres Rock, at Desert Gardens Hotel. During this time Brett worked with elders and guides of these special places who would tell them stories of the culture and the food they had used for thousands of years
Fresh food and creativity are what drives Brett, who draws on the experience he gained from cooking in numerous regions throughout the country. Brett drew inspiration from the offerings of the land and from the local community to create our menu at Camden Valley Inn.
Brett tells us what he loves most about being working as a chef.
“Food and cooking have been a massive part of my life for as long as I can remember,” Brett said. “Food brings people and family together. There’s no other career where you can complement a great night out and connect with so many senses – smell, feel, look, taste and sound.”
“The best way to learn is from the people who eat your food and grow and catch it. It’s about seeking wisdom in the most unlikely places and inspiring others by passing on that knowledge. I’m always telling my junior chefs to get in and feel the food. Look, smell and touch what you are cooking.”
